Viking Knitting

After my friends Caroline and Sam went to a museum in Denmark and found historic samples of viking mittens, I got curious about this method of "knitting".... and I then found this video. Viking knitting looks a lot like normal knitting, but it is created without having mutliple stitches on a needle. It also looks like it wouldn't unravel easily, more like a series of knots than a crochet piece of cloth.
