Forming Knitting Fabrics
While I may not be able to view the short 1979 documentary from Czechoslovakia, Forming Knitting Fabrics - Technology for a Knitting Future, I certainly believe there is a lot of future in knitting!

How Do They Knit a Chain-Link Fence?
How Do They...? How Do They Knit a Chain-Link Fence? This 4-min 1998 documentary shows how chain link fences are made. I never thought of these fences as knit, but if you were to pin out all of your knit stitches into squares... this is what you would get!

Knit Your Bit
Given the title of a charity collecting knit items for veterans (Knit your bit) , I would assume that the 1917 video "Knit Your Bit" was some kind of propaganda commercial to get people knitting for the troops.
Over my time here at KPOTD I have shared some vintage photographs of all types of people knitting for war efforts. While it is sad that there are still wars almost 100 years after this video was made, it is nice that hand knit garments are still appreciated.

A 2005 documentary of Dave Cole's performance art piece "The Knitting Machine" at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Has anyone ever watched this?

Knit One, Purl Two
I would love to see a knitting talk show... well Knit One, Purl Two has been a TV series since 2007. Once again, I'm having some trouble finding information about the actual show (Knit One, Purl Tow is a very common search phrase!) but I love thinking about what could be on the show.

Knit Your Own Karma
The movie, Knit Your Own Karma, doesn't seem to be about knitting at all. I would love to know what "the bizarrest of chances to improve his life forever" is.... (maybe it is learning how to knit!)

Knitting a Love Song
Knitting a Love Song is a 14 min short film created in 2004. What is this movie about? According to IMDB, Knitting a Love song is "a short romantic comedy set in a high school and focused on the alluring power of knitting, as a woman uses her skills to intoxicate the man of her dreams. "
I'm not sure where you would be able to find this to watch it...

Friday Night Knitting Club
Coming soon to a theater near you... Friday Night Knitting Club in 2013. I have never read any of the Friday Night Knitting Club Novels
, so I don't know what to expect from this movie.
A reviewer on amazon said of one of the books, "I don't knit, but the references to the wool and the process made it seem very inviting."
I would go see this movie... hurrah for knitting becoming more mainstream!

Lady Cluck "Knitting"
Even as a kid, I knew there was something odd about Lady Cluck Knitting. (This was also around the time when I thought knitting was just clanking two sticks together.) If you watch the scene in Robin Hood, she is wrapping yarn around her finger over and over, but does nothing with the needle. Of course, since the animation was done by hand, there are repeat scenes used over the same backgrounds multiple times. This really goes to show how much animation has changed over the years!
I've been searching for a video clip, so if you know where you can find one please let me know!

Happy Feet 2
Last week on opening night of the Harry Potter Movie, Keith noticed something interesting about the Happy Feet 2 preview. Wait until the end when the title screen comes up.
