I like to say that with the creation of the iPad, there was an explosion of free iPad cover knitting patterns. Although I am an advocate of creating knit items yourself, I understand that some people may want the look of a knit cover, but don't have the time, or ability to create on themselves. Amazon offers a number of knit iPad covers for sale, so I'm sure you could find one that fits your needs.
The following is one that (if I had an iPad) I would probably recreate for myself. I do love cables!
